Partner Like a Pro: Why and How to connect with the Local Business Community!

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending the Partner Like a Pro Small Business Workshop organised by the City of Canada Bay at Concord Oval.

This was my first time joining an event organised by local Canada Bay council, and I must say, it’s one of the best local events I’ve participated in!

The opportunity to connect with fellow business owners, share and learn ideas, and gain industry experts’ insights was invaluable.

The evening started with an inspiring opening speech from the Mayor of Canada Bay, @Michael Megna , followed by an engaging workshop led by Nils Vesk – Innovation Expert. His insights on partnering and collaborating with others reminded me that, as business owners, we can sometimes get so caught up in the day-to-day that we forget to look around for potential partners—those who may be upstream or downstream of us—who can help us deliver even more value to our clients.

For instance, at Optimise AI, our upstream partners could be tech solution providers who help us enhance our AI offerings, while our downstream partners might include business coaches or marketing agencies who can utilise our AI solutions to empower their clients.

Apart from the workshop, I had the chance to chat with Patrick Kayrooz, a Human Personality Consultant and Transformational Educator at WID, about his exciting work. I also discussed how AI can assist the education industry with Dr Frank Alafaci and Sylvia. It was great to exchange ideas and connect with many passionate community members.

A big thank you to the City of Canada Bay council for organising such a fantastic event. Looking forward to many more opportunities to connect and collaborate!
